Your most treasured pieces deserve expert care. Our master jewelers have been restoring, repairing, and preserving fine jewelry for five generations — with the skill and attention every piece deserves.
From simple cleanings to complex restorations, our master jewelers handle it all — in-house, with care.
Whether your ring is too tight or too loose, our master jewelers can resize most rings up or down. We size in precious metals including gold, platinum, and silver, and take special care with channel-set, pave, and eternity bands.
Loose stones are a safety risk. We tighten prongs, replace missing stones, and re-set diamonds and gemstones in new or existing settings. We also offer complete re-setting services if you want to modernize an heirloom piece.
Prongs wear down over time, putting your stones at risk. We retip worn prongs with fresh metal, rebuild severely damaged prongs, and inspect all settings for security. We recommend prong inspection every 1–2 years.
Broken chains, worn clasps, and damaged links are among our most common repairs. We repair all chain types — box, cable, rope, figaro — in gold, silver, and platinum. Most chain repairs are completed in 1–3 days.
White gold naturally yellows over time as its rhodium plating wears. We re-plate white gold jewelry to restore its bright, white finish. Rhodium plating is recommended every 1–2 years for frequently worn pieces.
Broken shanks, split bands, and separated components are repaired through precision soldering. We use laser welding technology for delicate repairs that traditional soldering can't safely perform.
Add a personal message, date, or monogram to rings, pendants, and bracelets. We offer both machine and hand engraving, with a variety of script and block letter styles. Custom engraving makes any piece uniquely yours.
Professional ultrasonic cleaning and hand polishing restores the original brilliance of your jewelry. We clean and inspect all pieces brought in for any service — and offer complimentary cleaning for Siegel customers anytime.
Pearl necklaces and bracelets should be restrung every 1–3 years to prevent breakage. We restring on silk thread with individual knots between each pearl, and can replace clasps at the same time.
We replace watch batteries for most brands and perform basic watch repairs. For complex mechanical watch service, we work with trusted watchmakers in the area and can coordinate the repair on your behalf.

Most jewelry damage is preventable. Catching these warning signs early saves you from losing a stone or facing a much more expensive repair later.
A loose stone will fall out. Stop wearing the piece immediately and bring it in.
Snagging prongs are bent or worn thin. They can break and release your stone without warning.
Rings that are too tight can cause circulation issues and become impossible to remove. Size it now, not in an emergency.
Tarnish, oxidation, or metal fatigue. Some can be polished away; others indicate structural issues.
Repeated breaks indicate metal fatigue or a weak link. A proper repair or replacement is more cost-effective than repeated soldering.
Rhodium plating has worn through. Replating restores the bright white finish and takes less than a day.
Siegel Jewelers uses state-of-the-art laser welding technology for precision repairs that traditional soldering simply cannot achieve. Our laser welder allows us to repair jewelry with stones in place, work on delicate antique pieces, and achieve invisible repairs that preserve the integrity of your jewelry.
Laser welding is particularly valuable for repairing platinum and white gold, closing sizing marks on eternity bands, repairing delicate filigree work, and working on pieces where heat-sensitive stones or materials are present.
Schedule a Repair ConsultationLaser welds are extremely precise, allowing repairs within fractions of a millimeter of heat-sensitive stones.
Traditional soldering requires heating the entire piece. Laser welding applies heat only at the exact repair point.
Laser welds are nearly invisible, with no discoloration or fire scale that traditional soldering can leave.
Diamonds and most gemstones can remain in their settings during laser welding, eliminating the risk of stone damage from removal.
